Brian Boyles was born into a Mormon family on May 31, 1976 in Charlotte, NC. In 1998, he formally left Mormonism and gave his heart to Christ and immediately began serving Jesus. Within one year, Brian was able to lead his father to Christ. Brian accepted God’s call to ministry two years later.
Brian was married to his wife, Amy, in 2004 and God has blessed them with two wonderful children: a daughter, Elizabeth Anne, born in 2005, and a son, Jackson, born in 2006.
He followed God’s call to ministry by earning a BA in Biblical Studies, with a focus in Christian Philosophy, from Southern Evangelical College in Matthews, NC in 2009. In 2011, Brian completed a Masters of Divinity with a focus on the original biblical languages, theology and preaching. He is currently planning for a doctoral degree.
Brian served as the Senior Pastor of the historic Northside Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC from November of 2009 to November 2014 while additionally serving as the President of Northside Christian Academy during the same time. Prior to accepting the Senior Pastor position at Northside, he served as Pastor to Single Adult Ministries, evangelism and outreach from 2003 to 2009 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. Brian served as the Executive Director of the National Conference on Christian Apologetics, sponsored by Southern Evangelical Seminary in 2006 and 2008 through 2011. Brian currently holds a position on the Board of Directors of “Build the Village Ministries” of Garner, NC and Nandi Hills, Kenya. This ministry builds Christian Schools, orphanages and churches throughout Kenya. He also led a bi-annual training of teachers, pastors and other leaders in Kenya, with six-week studies on the subject of hermeneutics from 2005 through 2008, as well as being interviewed on multiple occasions on local and national TV & radio stations.
Brian enjoys NASCAR Racing and studies martial arts in his personal time.
