In Kenya today, they are in a drought situation.Due to this drought, the water in the dams have failed and dried up.The farms are not able to produce which has caused the cost of food to rise since last year.
Despite their hardships,Kenyans are still going to church, they are still hearing the Gospel,praising and worshipping Jesus Christ and His Story.
With your prayers and financial help, we are able to provide Henry Martin and Peter Rumbe with the means to support their families. First Baptist Snellville is also supportingRED Ministries and Jeff Myers. Jeff and his team travel to Uganda and Kenya a couple of times each year providing food, Bibles, Crusades, and Pastor Trainings.

AMERICAN RED CROSS
In April 2009, several members of our church participated in the American Red Cross Disaster Shelter Volunteer Training. By participating, volunteers are now able torespond tothe call for volunteers as Disaster Shelters are opened in our area. First Baptist Snellville has alsobecame a partner with the Red Cross to be a Disaster Shelter if the time comes.
GEORGIA BAPTIST DISASTER RELIEF
Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief is a ministry-based approach to impacting people for the Kingdom of God. Their motto of “Serving Christ in Crisis” has two implications:
We serve Christ to those persons who are the victims of a disaster.
When we minister to persons in need we are serving Christ. (Matt. 25:46)
The goal of disaster Relief is to provide some measures of normalcy for the victims of a disaster event.
HUMAN DEVELOPMENT RESOURCE COUNCIL
By supporting the HDRC, FBS hashad some of their materials in a United Nations presentation at a women’s conference.Countries like Nigeria and Indonesiahave requested curriculum that included HDRC material.They are making public school curriculum ready for Peru and Guatemala which is the same material used in the individual states in the U.S. By supporting this Ministry, they have saved the lives of hundreds of thousandbabies.
PREGNANCYRESOURCECENTER
The Pregnancy Resource Center of Gwinnett provides women and men of all ages with truth that can empower them to make Godly choices regarding faith, sanctity of life and marriage, and sexual integrity. As we support the ResourceCenter, in turn, they are able to meet the needs of women at risk of an unintentional or crisis pregnancy, with the full affirmation of the sanctity of human life and marriage.

BUS MINISTRY
Our Bus Ministry provides transportation to Sunday Worship Services for those in need in the Snellville, Loganville, and Grayson areas.Currently, we have over 40 people utilizing this ministry!
DAMASCUS ROAD RECOVERY
This is a long-term alcohol and drug recovery residence. The average length of stay is 14 months.At Damascus Road Recovery they have certified addiction counselors to help with the recovery process.
FREEDOMWORSHIPCENTER
God started this church November 17, 2007. With almost 100 members, FreedomWorshipCenter has had 50 lives changed through salvation and believers baptism. Members of Freedom Worship are ex felons, ex drug addicts , and ex alcoholics. Their lives have been changed through the love of the Lord Jesus Christ .Doug Brown also leads a team to downtown Atlanta to witness to and feed those who live on the street.

JABEZ JOBS
Over the course of the last year, FBC Snellville's Jabez Jobs ministry has served over 70 clients helping them to obtain the skills needed to find a job. Jabez Jobs helps clients to prepare theirresumes, conduct job searches, practice interviewing skills, and learn to type and use the computer.
PRISON MINISTRY
First Baptist Snellville has been given the opportunity to reach over 1400 inmates at the GwinnettCountyDetentionCenter for the last several years.We are allowed to hold worship services for both men and women. Our church supplies the entire facility with Bibles and other Bible resources. We also have volunteers who are involved in the Women’s Pen Pal Ministry.
MALACHI DADS
Malachi 4:6 And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.
Millions of children nationwide are growing up without fathers because their dads are in prison. Malachi Dads is tackling this epidemic by teach Christian inmates how to grow into godly parents, equipping them to spiritually train their kids from behind bars to help break the cycle of crime in their families.The program develops their skills in five key areas:fathering, spiritual, educational, moral and vocational.
SOUTHEAST GWINNETT COOPERATIVE
The mission of the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry is to honor and uphold the Lordship of Jesus Christ by reaching out, in His name, to our neighbors in need. The SE Gwinnett Cooperative exists to provide emergency aid to families in need of financial assistance and food. God has placed this ministry before us and we welcome the call to serve.
STREET WISE MINISTRIES

StreetWise Georgia Ministries is a non-profit 501c3 ministry that has been in existence for 23+ years serving the people of the inner city of Atlanta. God has used this ministry to meet physical, spiritual and emotional needs of people in the inner city and is now expanding the ministry to Gwinnett and Barrow counties. Along with providing clothing, food and other necessities, StreetWise hosts Bible studies and seeks to share the gospel with all who come to them for help. God has recently provided StreetWise with a facility to use which is located in Lawrenceville, GA on Cedars Road. Some of their needs include funding for the ministry as well as many volunteers to staff the facility.
Several opportunities to serve include: sorting items in the warehouse, boxing food for families, sorting clothing, front office greeter, intake volunteer and administrative duties as needed. If you are interested in volunteering, you must attend a volunteer information session as well as a training session so that you are equipped to help. The following dates are available for training.
