Women

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
(KJV) Ecclesiastes 3:1

Women’s Ministry is an in integral part of First Baptist Church of Snellville. Throughout history, women have played an important role in the work of the Lord. You can read scripture after scripture and story after story how women’s commitment to Christ has impacted the lives of individuals. You can start with Sara in Gen.11:29, move to Deborah in Judges 4:4 , Ruth in Ruth 1-4 and the list goes on. But do not stop in the Old Testament but move onto the New Testament in Mark 1:30 , Luke 7:11-15 , Luke 13:10-17 as on and on.

In the ministry of Jesus and the early church, Christian women performed vital ministry work and in today’s contemporary congregations women do the same. So it is important that we move forward in that work by raising up solid Christian women to continue the work that was laid before us so many years ago.

According to “Women Reaching Women” there is a spiritual wheel with four spokes that illustrates the process that Women’s ministry should follow. They are: Relational (social, family, communication, witnessing, service, fellowship), physical (health, nutrition, addictions), emotional (self-esteem, depression, crisis counseling) and mental (decision-making, time management, finances and leadership skills).

You might be asking yourself, “How do we accomplish all those areas?” There is but one answer…through the study of the WORD and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. In doing this it is not always in doing a bible study but IT is always in going to the Word.

We, at First Baptist Snellville, believe that you can accomplish each section of this wheel by becoming involved in areas that best suit where you are in your walk.

We have taken great care in designing our Women’s Ministry to accomplish that very task. We know that women have many needs and not one study or event will meet the needs of everyone. On our Ministries page you will find a listing of the groups that we feel captures the majority of women’s needs. Please find a ministry where you can “plug in” and start one of the most exciting journeys of your life. We look forward to meeting you and joining you on your walk.
